Bullitt Color Problem

HEY YALL, I'm back for the first time in like a year. And for good reason, I'm outta the Marines and back in the states as a civilian in 3 months! I FINALLY get to see and drive my baby for the first time in a full year. But as like 3 of you guys might remember, since I've had my fastback I've planned on painting it Bullitt green. For a while I was considering Wimbledon White racing stripes (in commemoration of the original color- which it is right now), but I decided full-on Bullitt green is much much classier. I've seen a coupe with my interior (the Ivy Gold) and the Highland Green paintjob and it looks superb, much more unique and fitting than the deluxe straight black in the original Bullitt (in my opinion). So that's perfect, but there's a shade problem here. From research I've done before I remember "Dark Moss Green", it was an original stock color option in 67. And Highland Green is the original Bullitt color. And from pictures, they look almost exactly the same, looking beautifully green in light and almost black when it's darker (which isn't totally cool, but it's not bad either). But I've seen some "Highland Green" photos that are just obnoxiously green, and I've never seen a Dark Moss Green picture that looks that unusual. Does anyone have any personal opinions on the shade differences? Or is it possible that this is the exact same color but just renamed for 68? If it's not, what's the difference? Thanks guys

Nobody knows the difference in these colors? I think I'm decidin on Highland...I mean it is official, and beautiful. But where does Dark Moss Green come in, it looks so similar but it's a different name.

From what I've read DMG has a slight yellowish hint in it and HG is a darker version.

Awesome thanks man, looks like Highland's the way to go then. As an add-on to the question though; I was contemplating those stripes for a long time but decided it'd just be a little too "look at meeeeee"ish. But it really does look nice (Highland Green with White Racing Stripes...a lot like that abomination in 2 Fast 2 Furious). Just before this thread's closed, anyone have an opinion on what looks nicer in general on a 67 fastback? The eyecatching stripes or the classy original look?

I found a picture- to the T (even down to the rims and under the hood, same valve covers and air cleaner...it's just a 68 with true-to-Bullitt black interior and billet grill) it is exactly what mine should look like when I'm back. But this is the straight-green. If you check the rest of the pics from the link in THIS pic, it's a little more revealing than this side angle. I just don't know if those white stripes will hurt or help this beautiful look.

Welcome back. Highland green for sure. I think you'd do alright without the stripes. But it'll look sweet regardless. Btw I don't remember any abomination mustang in Tokyo Drift, just one bad ass big block fastback with too big of rims.

Thanks guys, I definitely think I'm settling on Bullitt full green. But I'm talking about 2 Fast 2 Furious where they put that ...thing... (the Skyline 6cyl) in the Mustang, with the giant ricer can on the back for exhaust. It did have retarded rims too.

There was a mustang with skyline 6 cyl. in 2F2F? I thought they only did that in Tokyo Drift (they actually used a big block motor for that car). And yes the rims and fart can were gay.

Nah, i thought they put the skyline engine in it... it sounded nothing like a v8.

That car never had a big-block in it, it had a 351W.

The RB car was driftable, too.
