Thanks! You looking to paint soon? I wouldnt sweat it to much, at least you can drive it. I like what I see on the car, air, disks, 4 spd, oh, and that little motor. Bet it runs pretty good, huh.

Yeah, waiting on paint/body work until mechanicals are complete.......still need disks in the back and a five speed. The Borg Warner in it is great for the era but w/ the 355s I tach out at ~130 and spin at 4000 just doing 75down the highway......would LOVE to go forced air, but the motor is so tight that I'd hate to open it up just for greed sake.
ETA: A/C is cosmetic for the moment.....need to find a good rebuilder for the original or a replacement. Last edited by Dastik; February 6th, 2010 at 01:03 AM. |

Welcome!
4000 rpms at 75, with 3.55s? That's crazy. With 3.55s in mine, I'm turning about 3100-3200 at 75.

With what transmission? I think the Borg Warner is geared higher then the C4. I bought the whole rear end w/ traction loc and 355s, but it's possible that has 373s, especially if the math doesn't work........

A toploader. They all end with a 1:1 final drive ratio. Those sound more like 4:10s LOL
