Twin Turbo 289!?!
I am looking for some advice on putting twin turbos on my 289. Im about to have the engine rebuilt and I need to know what components I need to upgrade and suggestions for what to use (carb, pistons, ect). Id would also be open to suggestions on the turbo kit. I am looking to get around 450rwhp. A buddy of mine suggested dual T30’s but neither of us is really sure. Im setting the car up as a track car so I need a quick spool up.
I know there are probably better/cheaper ways to get the power I want but I really want to run twin turbos and I have the money to do it. |

Unless you're just wanting the "coolness" factor of twin turbos, there are WAYYYY cheaper and easier ways of making 450 hp with your 289. You could even buy a 351W block and make 600hp for less than a TT setup, but 450 is easily reachable with your 289 block.

shouldnt be that expensive - i've seen some good reviews for the cheap TT kits on ebay - have some at 900 all you need is the exhaust manifolds - hell give it a try be a little different

mmm...... don't know how "cheap" or "easy" this would be to do, but I definitely like the idea that someone would be out their destroying the competition with a turbo 289 (hell even the name sounds cool, though vaguely GM transmission*ish).
