Disc Brake Conversion
Im not sure if it has been asked before, but before i start driving it, my parents insist it has disc brakes... but, i have no money, and them spending money on the conversion is just another reason for them to complain about it being a money pit.. so, are there any good junkyard conversions out there? you know, a list of parts you could find at any local junkyard... and helpful/cost effective tips would be useful

I thought I had a link but I can't find it.
Anyway, one change to front disc is to use the complete '73 Ford Granada front spindles. You need to order special tie rod ends to match the holes in the spindle. You'll need the master cylinder and porportioning valve. Mabey google for mustang brake conversion. There are some good sites that give step by step details. Like Mustangbuilder said, it depends on the cost of used parts to new.

I actually bought a cd on ebay with step by step instructions, full illistrations ,and a parts list of all parts necessay and parts that are interchangable using the Granada set up. I think I spent a grand total of about $250 to convert the front to manual disc. What a difference it made and $10 dollars well spent. I just checked ebay and it is still there. Do a search for: Mustang Ford Granada Disc Brake Conversion Manual Swap. The guy sent me a cd in PDF format which I printed out for easier reference. It really covers it all in plain english with a lot of good photos. The only problem is that it is getting harder to find Granadas in the junk yard. Good Luck![/u]
