Please find something better to do with your time than screw up my thread. Obviously you know nothing about bodywork or restoring cars. A friend of a friend once told me-so it must be so. Blogs and other credible sources. Good lord, really?

Yes, that was rude. I just dont want to go back and forth on this issue. Some people can attempt to stuff a rotting quarter panel or fender with body filler or the brand of body filler called bondo, which i would never recommend using on anything, but the paint over top of the bondo will crack very quickly and it will be pretty obvious even before it does that there is a lot of filler in a car. I take it your friend used a magnet, but who is going to let a potential buyer drag a magnet the entire way around the car? My guess is he had to hold it out away from the car and the magnet was not strong enough for him to feel its pull towards the steel. Anyway, lets just drop this and carry on. The cars from Unique were not filled with gallons of bondo or any other type of body filler. They were however sprayed to death and back with lizard skin on the underside to cover up the crappy welds

he used a magnet they are pretty easy to conceal if they are small enough but your right we don't need to argue about it.

I really like your car though I have said it before and ill say it again that thing is gonna be a head turner

lol, gallons of bondo, that is so ridiculous. my buddy has a 73 charger, got into an accident in high school and fixed the fender with literally a gallon of bondo. did it work, yea, did it crack, you better believe it. i find it hard to believe that you could use more then a gallon of bondo on a car without any issues, as i've seen first hand how many issues a single gallon causes.

back on topic, op, that car's damn gorgeous, can't wait to see the finished product.

16 hours of work the last two days and i am still going strong. I should have the rear end and brakes finished by this evening and then i can measure for the rear wheels. 4 of yesterdays hours were spent removing and reconditioning a center rear axle stop bracket from another car. Unique Performance had removed it-they did this on all of their SuperSnake cars-i guess for clearance with their rear suspension system. Anyway, here are some pics. I thought you all would like to see some progress since it has been a while and the only recent postings were an argument concerning bondo and body filler.

THose would be some wimpy drums-ha. No, they are just a drum style parking pad-very similiar to sixties vettes. I hope this system works better than the ones on the midyear corvettes!!!

Center section, axles, rotors, and calipers are now installed. It's been a long two days-im hitting the shower and grabbing a cold one.

please tell me those arent!

i mean i guess for the price they're not that bad. but when putting this much power, with this much money to the ground...

nitto 555r or the nt-05 would have been a much more applicatable choice for this beast. to each his own tho, LOVE YOUR CAR! haha

I dont even have the rims yet-the tires are just sitting over the rotors. The car is on jack stands-i am not the type to have the ass end hiked up like a dragster-lol.
Yes, they are sumitomo tires. I didnt want to spend the big bucks on tires until i got everything just right. Besides, nobody had 315 rear tires and 245 fronts for some reason. I had a set of sumitomos on my 65 cobra replica and they were great. I really liked them and they held up to the abuse well.
