more power


hey everyone i have started to pull down my 67 coupe, anyone got any tips, i want to get more power out of it, it has a 289, C4 auto, it is A matching numbers C code Coupe, can anyone telll me some htings to get mor power, like replacement of new parts, upgrade, installing new parts?

Personally, I wouldn't try to get stupid power out of it. I would restore it to factory and find a ragged out classic and put in a 351. thats just me

I'd upgrade the brakes and suspension first. If you're looking for more power in bolt ons, headers, 4v carb, intake for starters.

well, i can tell you what i did with my 68 302 when i still had it, heads, headers, exhaust, and if you have a two barrle carb then you might want to upgrade to a four barrel

the heads were the biggest gain and really added some noticable power to my old stang, hope this helps

To get some nice power and still have a streetable car. I would get some 10 to 1 flat top pistions, alum. heads, carb, intake, mild street cam, and headers. That is the base to any power build up.
