Hi All,
I purchased a 69 Mach1 S code 390 with a four speed car and I want to replace the drive train for a 351W with an AOD, to make it friendlier for everyday city driving. I already know that I will need another transmission cross member, shifter to replace the four speed, and new pedals, but I’m not sure on the best place to find them. I also would like to know if I can use the mounting brackets for the alternator and power steering from the 390 on the 351. The 351 is out of an 84 bronco.
The reason that I’m replacing the engine is that I’m looking for something that I can drive everyday and not kill me at the pump. I’m also tired of having my toys stay in the garage and want to enjoy my 69 every day I can.
So, does anyone have experience on this conversion and what will be needed?

no both engines a comletly differant you will need a differant water pump also

Yes,

The items on the motor Like alt, power steering pump can be used. The brakets are all different.
The motor mount are all different also.

If you like you can call me and I would glad to set you up with everything you need to do the swap.
I have the pedals, tran mounts, motor mounts, and brakets.

Be sure and save your old stuff to go back on your car when you like to swap back over.
