That is such a cool project. I'd love to do that one day man! You would definitely want to be driving to work every morning!

Looks good Ozzy! I got my body's mated and suspension swapped. I'm in Iraq right now so no more progress until I get back. I see you figured out the cowl panel had to come out too. It's a shame that interfere's so much. I also couldn't find a way to integrate the newer wiper system into the car, I went the same route the Julians used on the SN65, universal wipers.

Update: Project is going very slow. Hurt my back in May and can't do much of anything since. See a neurosurgeon in January, maybe he will have a fix so I can get back to work on the SN65C
I did pick up a tubular K member, control arms, coil over kit and camber kit that was never used other than in a mock up. Sweet!
2 large boxes of sheet metal from Mustangs Unlimited are setting collecting dust waiting their turn in the build.
I haven't decided on a hood yet, maybe a GT500 style 'glass hood, or a stock hood with a Boss 429 style scoop?
Cragar 610c 18x9's are the plan, 245/40 on the front 275/40 on the back. Mrs. Santa is supplying the wheels
Once I get back to working on it I will post some pictures.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you

I am still scratching my head about the cowl. I can see the need for a cable type drive assy. I just do not like welding the cowl back on and trapping the wiper drive. Being an aftermarket item I am of the belief that it will have a short life span. Here in the PNW we use our wipers a lot on a daily driver.

I am looking at making the cowl removable without cutting and welding.

HOW? I don' have that figured out yet, ROFLOL.

What ever I come up with needs to be hidden. I don't want a bunch of screws and such showing.

The cowls rear edge would be modified at the windshield interface.
A few tabs going into plastic sockets would align and retain the rear of the cowl.
The front edge of the cowl may use screws (hidden behind the rubber seal) going in the 1" tubing on the upper edge of the firewall.

The sides of the cowl would push down into retaining clips of the type used elsewhere in interiors and such.

That will take a bit of fabrication, but would allow getting to the wiper drive when needed, or for just cleaning the trash out of the cowl area.

I have a lot of time to set and stare at it and get a decent plan

Slow progress

Hi Guys, I made a bit of progress on my project before I injured my back, which basically put the project on hold for the last 9 months.

Recently had surgery on it and now my Dr. said I could tinker on the car as long as I followed my restrictions and don't overdo it

I have a blog with some pictures of the limited progress which I will be updating with pictures as I finally make some more headway.

I decided on wheel and tires and purchased them a few months ago, Cragar 612c - 18x9's, Nexen 3000- 235/40 & 275/35 tires.

I have on back order a 67 GT500 style hood, should ship the first of this coming week.

I cannot edit the typo in my previous post. The wheels are Cragar 610c, not 612c.
