SN65 coupe, how crazy am I ?

I am in the process of building a SN65C and just wonder how crazy I really am.
My car will be similiar to Bob Julians SN65, but a lot lower budget, real world daily driver.

The SN is stripped ( 2001 GT), the floor pan is ready to mate to the 65 (6cyl coupe).

The 65 is just getting stripped out, a few more weekends and it will be a shell ready to be mated to the SN floor pan.

I'd be getting things done faster if I didnt work out of town during the week. As it is I hope to get the 2 mated together, media blasted and epoxied before winter arrives.
When I get to that point I can spend countless winter hours in my shop working on it keeping the winter blues away.

Nope, not scared away, not scared at all! LOL.

Like I said in my original post I work outta town and dont have a lot of time for the project at the moment.
This weekend I just finished building an 8 x 22 storage addition onto the back of my small shop to store parts in as this project unfolds, my garage is full of the 01 GT parts and the 65 roller.

Once I get parts moved to storage and my shop cleaned out, then progress on stripping the 65 will begin.

I have some ads on craigslist and have almost no responce, guess the engine, trans, interior are headed to the scrap yard.

I ordered the 1 x 6 brake formed channel for rocker panel reinforcement friday, they are delivering it this week.

Hopefully I can get the 2 cars married within a month, and get it taken to the media blaster before the crappy weather arrives.

Shoot some SPI epoxy on it and get to work on it as time allows over the winter. by spring I hope to have it to a completed mechanical assembly, just requiring all the body work and such.

I'll post up some pics as I go along. I didnt take any of the 01, never thought about it

Here is the 65 when I picked it up form the previous owner.

Glad to hear it, I suppose you can't be scared going into something like this. After returning from Iraq I have been taking a lot more risks. This isn't something I would have taken on before my deployment.

That's a shame. I couldn't find anyone to buy my stuff on Craigslist either. So I gave it all to a guy that was in need. The 2v 4.6, auto tranny, complete wiring harness, fuel tank, dash, steering, and most of the interior out of the 96GT all went. Maybe post a "you haul it away" add instead of sending it to scrap. He's building a 79 Pinto, I made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Progress is slow, but I am making headway and hopefully will have more time soon to devote to the project.
