Lookin for a Radio
Just purchased a Custom Autosound USA-66 and am not happy with the unit at all, I've also been through a USA-230 and USA-630 and had similar experiences with both.
Does anybody have any recommendations for good radios? I've pretty much given up on Custom Autosound. Thx

I have a USA-66 in my car, but have only used the MP3. I didn't have a SD card with me the other night and attempted to use the radio; it has perhaps the worst reception I've ever heard.
When the USA-66 stops working, I plan to buy a deck with a remote, and hide the deck. I'll use the radio-delete plate as well. Good Luck, Brian |

I have a factory AM/FM, and an FM modulator for my ipod. Works great, and looks great.

The question is are you going to keep your car stock? If not This is what we do.
This way you can put a lot of great decks in your car.

The dash was already hacked up before we got the car, so I'm heavily considering putting in a newer deck like you've done MustangOne. Which one do you use?

You can use any radio that is called a single den. That is what is great. there are 1000's to chose from.

Thanks for all you're help, ended up going with a Kenwood single din in-dash cd player and a full set of pioneer speakers. Sounds awesome!

USA 66 Custom Autosound
if you had your dash cut up already why did you go with a shaft radio??? that might be the source of the heart ache... i have a USA 66 in my pony and i havent had any problems with it.... if your dash is hacked you might also want to have a close look at your electrical...
din is the way to go or if you want to go back to stock look you can get dash repair panels but you'll have to weld it in... when theyre done right the look awesome |
