Put the junkyard radiator fan on and ordered a one wire alternator. It has been sadly neglected these past few weeks.

Last night I tore the top end of my engine apart hunting for a tapping noise I heard during my first start up. Piston valve contact on 1 cylinder that I didn't notch enough. There was light aluminum transfer from the piston to the valve edge, barely saw it when i shined a light on it. I think I'm safe this time.

It still runs, so not technically blown up I guess, but I'm pretty sure it broke a ring. It's OK. I've already ordered my complete 408W bottom end from fordstrokers.com, Bullet custom cam, Vic Jr intake, Pro-Systems carb. It should make close to 600 hp

Wow man, that sucks. Hopefully everything is ok.

I started removing the seats in preparation for my fall/winter project on my 1966 Coupe: interior carpet replacement. I will likely need to treat the floor pans with rust retardant material as well but dont know until I get the old carpet out. Anyone have any suggestions on good products for that?

Took out the racing seats...attempted to put the lowback seats back in...had some issues...then after getting the drivers side all tightened down and complete...I realized I put the passenger seat on the driver side.

I got pissed off and went back in the house.

Bummer man, I put the rear of my bike all together to only realize a bearing fell out.

It happens! If anything I can take it apart and put it back together alot quicker now.

Yep that is it, if you use it make sure you have plenty of protection. That stuff can get nasty

Tuned my blow through carb. Hadn't driven the car in over 3 years. Blasted down the highway, got sideways, drifted a few corners. The IRS handles great!

Took some pics too.

I pushed it out of the shop, cleaned the floor where it was sitting, and pushed it back in.
