67 Mustang Help
My mustang resto-mod project is coming closer and closer to the end. I will post pics this week. I still have some setbacks though. I have a Pain-In-The-A** wiring, sitting in the car. What I didnt know was that the harness didnt come with any connectors. I rebuilt a 351c bored 30 over and a C6 tranny with a B&M ratchet shifter, and it is already in the car. I have all new V8 Suspension already installed. and a rebuilt Ford 9" with 31 spline axles and Posi. already in. I have the tires and wheels mounted and on the car. The steering is almost all on, I had to customize my lowering bracket so the slave cylinder wouldnt hit my exhaust and tranny. Still working on that.
Major setbacks from getting it on the road: Harness Driveshaft (ordered) interior (being installed) Im having trouble finding someone to install the harness for me. I dont feel comfortable wiring this car, and i dont want to mess it up.

This is what I keep saying, Throw the Pain-In-The-A ss Wiring in the trash.
It is a lot easier to intall the factory wiring, Just reuse the underdash wiring and add new tail light side and head light side. You will save a lot of money in the long run and it all just plugs together, you can do it your self. I know people that have paid $1000.00 to have that crap installed just to remove it a year later becuase it is a bunch of CRAP. The problem is no one take the time to soder the conectors on. They use those butt conectors and have endless electrical problem. Good Luck. |

Reuse whats under the dash, and order new tail light and head light sides. Does that include all engine and starter wiring? Where would you buy it from?

My dad ordered wiring for his truck and he had it wired in like 2 days. Company was called rebel wiring I believe based out of Tennessee. Before he had a harness similar to Painless and it sucked with all of the extra wires and crap.
He was also able to order from them directly instead of going through a dealer. EDIT: http://www.rebelwire.com/
