1970 coupe 302 exhaust

i've been looking a reading up on different exhaust systems, i was looking at the flowmaster american thunder kit, the 15819 exhaust kit, borla mufflers, cherry bombs, etc... i would really like a full exhaust kit and i would like to know the loudest and and the one that gives the most power. i really trust everyone on this site, you all seem to know so much, so i would like to know your opinions and suggestions, or any other kits you like.

Thanks, joe

you need to look at this as a system, maybe the lowdest does not give you the most power, maybe the most powerful is not the loudest, so what's more important? are you starting at the exhaust manifolds / headers? or are you looking from there back, if going with manifolds I would recommend the stock old fashion Hi-Po ones you can find them in any Mustang catalog for like $250 bucks, if going with headers, then find some long tube headers that will fit and clear, with a 302 you probably don't have to go with 3" pipes that may be too big so maybe 2" to 2.5", where do you want this exhaust to exit, on the side of the car (if so the glass packs would work) or loop around the rear axle and come out the back - just some ideas that went through my head when I was thinking exhaust
