will fox body shorties fit on a classic stang
Ive got a 302 out of a 71 mustang about to go in my 67 mustang. My question is my buddy has some fox body headers that he is not using and I wanted to know if there is any chance of using them. Thanks for your help

This is all I have right now. He says they are factory.
My major question is that if factorys would fit why not aftermarket shorties.

I dont think the equal length shorties are factory. I have been around a bunch of classic mustangs in my life and never saw those as being factory.
I dont see why those wouldn't fit in your engine bay. You should have plenty of room between the engine and shock towers. The only thing, I'd be concerned with is the steering shaft. If those equal length ones were on the car, those shorties should fit with no problem. You may have to adjust the length of the h-pipe or exhaust pipe that they bolt to. |

Those shorties were stock on foxbody stangs. That is what the OP was referring to. See the title.

As I said before, I would imagine that they would fit. Shame he doesn't live closer, I'd drive over and let him see if my shorties would work. If those equal length shorties (crusty looking ones) fit in his car, the crema-chrome ones should fit for sure. |
