What year of engine is it? And what do you know about the cam? 302's had two different firing orders. Standard Ford 302 firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. The later 351 based cam that was used in the HO versions is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. If its an older 60's or 70's block that is stock, or still retaining the stock cam, it will be the 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 order.
