well my as well start up another project

This one is 67 mustang just found a 200 eng. for it that runs. it's off a 67 with auto. transmission. Mine has a 3 speed tranny. What changes am I looking at for this auto. Trany motor (a pilot bearing, pivet for clutch)? Had plans to do complete new everything V8 etc. for my wife but she found a 85 tee top she want instead about to put that back on the road. So the 67 sat for the past few years. Want to clean it up get it running and drive all stock. Want to make it to get good mpg. Has stock axel. no power brakes, no power steering just simple. What do you think I could do to get the best mpg. And what mpg could it get?

A do know a good tuned stock 289/302 can get 13 to 15+ mpg city. I don't know to much about 6 cly's and also depends on your set up. but I would think average 16 to 19+ city. As far as highway mpg one can get 30 mpg if the gearing is right but will be a dog at low speeds.

As far as my setup, its stock, the only difference is that the previous owner put on an after market a/c system, everything else is original
