Stroke it

Okay gang I have a original 302 from a 69 coupe. I need a show and go type of set up. I want thoughts on 331 or 347 striker set ups. I was looking a scat kit but want opinions. My oringinal plan was to have a coyote mod swap but can't come off the 10k now. Thanks for your thoughts.

347. Don't believe the rumors you hear about them having problems. They are untrue myths. The scat kits are an excellent choice. That's what I'm using in my 408.

I would use the Scat kit also.

Just remember it is still a Little motor. If I was starting all over and have only a 302, I would buy me a 351W for $200 and build it instead. They cost the same to build and everything will bolt up the same. Just will need a new oil pan and Intake. You would have a LOT more power for the same money spent. And be happier that the motor did everything you wanted it to do.

The scat kit is the one to go with in my opinion. Like mustangone said, you'll see more power with a 351w for not much more cost into the build, but its just comes down to what you want to do. The nice thing about going M1's route is if you buy another engine you can build it up and then swap it in when its finished as opposed to having your car down for the entire length of your engine build on the current 302.
