Engine Difference and Fitment

Sorry for first post...

I have a 67 Coupe that I will be going full bore with in Jan. After reading through here alot I have decided to do a swap with a modular 4.6L.

2 part question:

A: I am thinking of upgrading my frt supension with Global West products. Will a DOHC 4.6L fit with upper control arms and springs in the factory location, with just the shock towers notched? Or am I going to have to convert it to coil overs?

B: Other than the intake, what is the difference between the N/A 4.6L 32v DOHC Cobra motor and the DOHC 32v 4.6L found in the Lincoln Continentals? I can find that latter engine fairly cheap and I am curious.

I have read this forum for a while, and found a lot of helpful ideas, could not seem to find an answer for these questions.

Thanks

To answer your question about the two engines, the cobra's utilized a different set of cams with a more aggressive profile. Otherwise the differences are non-existent or negligible.

so, I can get a 45k mile 32v out of a Continental for $500. IYO, would it be worth the time for the swap?
