Modern Rims On Our Old Classic - No Go

So I saw these cool 5 lug modern Mustang rims with a vintage look to them on our local Craigslist the other day, the price was right $130 for the set, so I called up the dude, and found out they were off of a 2005-09 Mustang but they were metric so they would not fit my '68.

Are you guys aware of this?

Yeah, you have to get the right adapters for it

You can get the adapters to make them work, I think they're around 50-100 bucks though for the set of em

Put those same rims on my daughter 66 Mustang a few years back. You just have to get the adaptors.

Those are V-6 wheels for the record bro... You can find the spinners online for pretty cheap though!

OK, I hear the terms "adapters" or "spacers" used on this or other forums when discussing rims/wheels, could someone set me straight on what would be needed in this case, and what is the general difference, a few pictures comparing the two would really help, not only me but others I'm sure, thank you in advance.

Spacers space the wheel out and adapters are made to use for a different bolt pattern because the wheels are not made for the car... Thats how you put say a VW Jetta wheel on a Mustang... In your instance, its to different styles of Mustangs.
