351 W or C heads

I was wondering every summer I do a project to my 70 for next summer I was wondering about heads. I have heard alot of stuff about people putting 351 C/W heads on a 302 block to increase the hp.

I just wanted to know which model heads swap out the best and what sort of work is needed in doing this. I am young but know all of old motor heads in the area well who would be more than capible to do any work I could not do myself. I would just like to get a heads up on what kind of project I am going to get my self into.

1970 fast fastback with 302 and a C5

I am running a 351w myself. I would tell you to go out and find to a set of old 289 heads. The closed chambered ones, have a value job done and put some chevy 202 values in them. They will give you nice compression.

Edit: Also remember if you change your heads, you will probly have to get a new intake.

Would using a newer head on an older motor create any problems?
