Rearend giving me problems.

Dont no whats wrong with it, its the stock rearend and i was thinking instead of spending more money on it to just get a new/better one.

There is a guy on craigslist selling a 8.8 from a 91-94 explore it has drum. he is asking 350 i think is way to much imo but ill see if he will go cheaper. will this be an easy swap for my 67 stang 289 auto?

If you pull the axle you can replace the axle seal. might as well do it on both sides.

On the 8.8 need to see if it see on leaf springs and look at the spring perches.

Look at your first, you might want to take photos and compare them.

$350 is really steep for a 8.8" explorer rear - I bought a 9" rear with disc brakes out of a 68 mustang for $400!
