t 5 starter question

t 5 starter question


well i put my t5 in yesterday i am useing old stile bellhousing and z bar. now starter dont fit now it hits the round knob on the back of the bell in the center of the starter hole. do i need a differant starter
was 302 auto

Starter for manual and auto are different (according to the guy at NAPA), you will need a new starter. Make sure you note whether you have a 157 or 164 tooth flywheel when you are picking up the new starter.

EDIT: Mustangs Unlimited has them listed as separate parts as well.

thank you i just looked that up the thing is called oreilly's they told me there were the same starter auto and manual

Yea, I think O'Reilly has a glitch in their system, cause I bought my first one from them and it didn't fit. Had to get one from NAPA.
