1966 200 Sprint

We are having an auction next weekend and one of the things being auctioned off is a 1966 Ford Mustang 200 Sprint fully restored except for the paint is starting to come off on the trunk. Other than that the paint looks good. I am thinking its worth $8,000 but we probably wont get that for it.

I got my price from a NADA classic cars book from 2006. But I have no idea if it is accurate everything in it seems to have a very generous estimate.

Well I'm just basing mine off of personal experience, so I could also be way off. I tried to sell my modded 6 at 9K and got no bites. I had been offered 4k by a dealership when I thought about trading it in. My grandfather bought a 66 sprint for 4k a couple years ago, and I bought my 67 I6 for $5500 4 years ago.

Oh wow. I imagine it will be tough to get a good price out of old cars right now with the economy the way it is. Most folks dont have the money for a toy.

Well, that and not many want/are willing to pay that sort of money for a non v8 classic. A convertible would be an exception to that though.
