typical "how much i got" question
yeah so living in bfe never helps and there isnt a dyno for at least 200 miles from here. just a guess what kinda numbers you think im pulling? 289 c code. rated at 200hp. adde a 600 cfm elec choke carb, shelby tri-y ceramic headers, pertronix ignition, performer dual plane alum intake and a k&n filter.
the only diff in hp ( per my original owners manual) in the c code and a code(4brl carb) was 25hp. 25hp from a 2-4brl carb swap? if so great, if not then what? so what be your guy's opinion on my guestumated hp nubers. then what if i add a mild cam and ported/polished heads? thanx dan |

My guestimate for your 289 with 4 barrel is 190 rwhp. That is with a manual tranny. For an auto it would be less.

well idk what it was but it was the 96-98 body, black and cobra badging. eitehr way i ran neck and neck for about 3 block, then i turned into my street.
now you are saying 4brl. i also have headers, igntion, and dual plane high rise intake. does that stuff not make a diff at all? or is your guess of 190 with all that?

and the fact im lighter? maybe that helps? im 2820lbs as to a 97 boby at 3191. thats almost 400lbs diff.
