engine casting number help

I just purchased a 70 fastback. The vin says it's supposed to have a 302. The block casting number is C90E 6015 C. Can anyone tell me what motor this is? I can't find the last digit C referrenced anywhere on the web. Trying to determine if this is the original motor to the car. Thanks.

The only motors that you can tell if they are the motor that came in the car is the boss motors because the blocks were stamped with the vin# and the normal 302 blocks just had casting numbers that tell you when it was made and what kind of block it is so you wont be able to tell if that was the original motor that was in the car.

It could tell when that motor was made and that could tell you if that motor could of been the stock motor for it.

It could tell you the build date and time but it will not say if that is the original motor from that car but if the build date matches with the car it is a good chance it was the motor in the car from the factory but will not be exact because there is no vin on the block

I have a motor with the exact casting number C90E-6015-C.
I was wondering if it was a 289 or 302 and what year it is?
