You have pedestal rockers..They are not adjustable..You simply torque them to the recommended torque and that should do it..If they are opening the valves (assuming you are on the base circle of the cam) then the pushrods are too long...You must either shim the pedestals or get shorter pushrods..

that's what i ultimately ended up doing, shimming the pedestals. went to try to just crank it and see how it would sound and the sumbitch started instantly (no joke) bumped the cold start down now and i filled it back up with tranny fluid and finally took it out for a spin at night. all i can say is WOWOWOW what pull! but i have a cracked ceramic on #1 so i'll be replacing that one tonight and seeing how the idle and power level out.
