Anyone done the aftermarket air conditioning ? Who should i use ?

Can any of you guys that have done the aftermarket air conditioning give me some insight as to which one to buy for my 67? Pros cons of the major manufacturers ? I was leaning towards the classic auto air. Any negative feedback on this setup ? If anyone has installation pics that would also be a great help. Thanks in advance guys.

It depends on what engine you are running.

The old air products systems are nice. The more expensive kits come with chromed metal end vents, which are worth the extra money over the cheap plastic vents.

I use the old air products, Hurricane System. Works great and the system is very flexible.

I talked to Rick at Old Air and i think i may go this route due to the flexibility and the lines running out the kick panel up through the fenders. MustangOne... do you have any pictures of your build in that area ? Any recommendations while installing this system? Anything you would have done differently if you did it again ? Anyone who has done this system please feel free to chime in with pics or ideas.

I also used the old air system on my 67. the nice thing is the guys at old air products are willing to work with you. I wanted to use a march serpentine setup and I wanted to have a polished compressor. they told me to by the march compressor and sold me the kit without the compressor or bracket. I also agree that the chrome vents for the 67 are gorgeous. the hurricane system is also quite a bit smaller than the stock system and since you are supposed to block off the fresh air vent you can just get rid of all that making the underdash area cleaner and easier to operate. I bought the system with the electronic controls and the wiring harness is prewired so very easy installation. since I was using a passenger side compressor I needed different size hoses and they accomadated me on that as well.
