Picking the correct radiator


Hey Guys-

Need some advice. I have 67 Mustang Fastback and currently at the point I have to buy a radiator. I am making around 600hp to the wheels. BBF 460/545ci Need some suggestions on the recommended radiators for this set up, please. Thanks

I would go with the biggest aluminium rad you can fit in the car..I am running a 19X26 universal fit northern rad and it fit into the car very easily using the stock big block style mounts.....For your application I would remove the battery tray(relocate to trunk) and move the voltage regulator so you could fit an even wider rad into your car.

Thanks for your input. I see radiators that run anywhere from $200 - $800 and I cant figure out why the big difference in price. Seems that BeCool and Griffin are more expensive than the others. Are they thaty much better and is this a case of "you get what you pay for"?

I have used the alum. radiators from www.championcooling.com.Top quality & lower priced. Be sure to enlarge your rad suports opening to match a wider width 4 row unit.
Ebelbrock water pumps work well for us too. Use Prestone 50/50 pre-mix to fill it.
I also like Flex -O- Lite products. Good luck.
