What all is needed to install a AOD transmission in to a 1966 Mustang
I got a AOD out of a 1988 LTD stationwagon I also got the engine I am not sure if its a 5.0L or the 5.8L can anyone help.

you will need the shifter and the linkages. I would grab the neutral safety switch wiring plug & drive shaft.

It will take a special set of headers as well. AODs are wide.

What aboutg a cross member and trans mission mount, will I need to replace either from my cars factory equiped. It was a 3 speed manual.

What needs to be dome with the driveshaft, and is there a factory crossmember that can be used or do I have to go aftermarket? Thanks for all the help.

You will need a crossmember, You need the drive shaft for the front yoke.
Take note of how the trowel linkage interacts with the AOD linkage. |
