Pics Of My Car When My Parents Bought It New
Just thought this was cool and wanted to share with those that would think the same. For those of you that do not know my parents bought my car in 1966 shortly after they got married. First car they bought together. Anyway my dad was cleaning his closet last weekend and came across these pics.
![]() ![]() my dad washing it two days after he bought it ![]() In case anybody was wondering this is what it looks like now ![]()

That's awesome man, great that your parents held onto it for all those years. I've had mine for 22yrs but don't know much about its history prior to that. You probably know everything that's ever happened to yours. It's a keeper for sure. Ever had her down the track?

do like. I had a 68 that was that set up. seagull shit green with the vinyl top. i bought it off of the family that bought it new. it was a basket case when i got it. i stored it a bunch of years only to give it away to a tech school. i wish i had the storage space to have kept it.

Well I named my stang "Pegasus" for obvious reasons as soon as the test drive was over and knew she was coming home with me forever. Once she's the age of yours I'll have pics and great memories too hopefully...

and I think honestly if you havent given it a name by now, it would just be weird giving it one. I went through the same thing when my dad originally gave me his Mustang like 10 yrs after he bought it. I didnt know what to call it and though ive seen that Mustang everyday of my life, giving it a name right there on the spot would have been weird. Id just be naming it for the sake of it. Now when I bought my GT, the name I gave it was very significant so it worked out. This goes for the other cars I had too in the past.

No amount of money would ever cause me to part ways with that car and im sure you feel the same way. Gotta be awesome to have something like that your parents bought brand new so long ago.

I know i'm kind of late to this but I just now found this thread. ma67cpe, I believe I have actually met you at a McDonald's car show a while back. The one across from Town east mall. I talked to you about how you painted the top of your grille bars black
. Car is gorgeous man, love the old pictures and how it has stayed in your family.
