Is the hole farther back on the auto? What's the difference?

I'm going to attempt to use a B&M Pro Stick with the stock console. Ever tried it?

It depends on the year..67-68 is definetely different with the shifter hole offset to the drivers side for the manual shifter...I may be wrong but I think 69-70 is the same for auto or manual shifter as far as the shifter hole location..It appears there are some minor differences in the plastic around the hole due to whether it has a manual shifter boot or an automatic shifter bezel under the console..Take a look at this link..

1969 / 1970 Mustang Gauge and Interior Differences
Hey thanks man. I'm thinking that because my install will be somewhat custom with the Prostick, a new console won't really help me.

How's your car coming along? Bought any sticky tires for it yet?

I am not sure which way I am going for sticky tires yet...Trying to decide between full on slicks and a set of ET streets....No hurry since winter has set in here in the great white north.

I had that delima, and I'm so happy I went with slicks. I've never had so much fun.
