Hash Marks

Ok well I am considering getting a pair of hash marks to put on my mustang. I really like the look of them and think they will add to my look. I'm currently trying to decide whether or not I should buy them, and what color to get. I am stuck between gloss black and white. They will only be on the drivers side since that is how they are supposed to be. What does everyone think?

These are hash marks for those that don't know.

Personally I find that to be a GM/chevy thing only. Grand sports stripes on the vette, however the dodge suvs have them as well. Considering there isn't any other accent colors it might look a little off. But this is just my opinion of course, your car your choice either way it will still look good.

If you do go with them i'd go with gloss black then paint the blinker inserts in your hood a gloss black. Maybe even headlight/blinker housings as well as the slots behind the door. But i'm pretty bias on the black accents

I like them A lot.

They are from the 60's when road racing was king. All the cars from each country have a paint scheme. USA was White with blue strips. So if you wanted to know more witch was your car You had the hash marks of your colors to id your car.

I went black once Then realized how terrible my car looked, and now its red and chrome. I think the white or blue would look good, but I keep going back to the black mark as well.

I've even considered a blue mark. I like the look of the red hash marks on the blue vettes.

Also have my new exhaust laid out in my room on the floor. Can't wait to get that installed.

I remember seeing that car on Mustangforums before and never connected that it was yours in the previous state.

Exactly the problem I have, I fell like they both would look good.

Also on my stripes I would go from the fender well all the way to inside the engine bay portion of the fender.

I'm hoping to have a chop done soon of both colors on my car so I can see what they may look like.

Ya I was about to suggest that. I'm sure there are many people in the chop shop that wouldn't mind slapping a couple different stripe colors to help you get a feel of which you like. I would try to help but I lost my photoshop disc and never was all that good anyways.

And here is what I did.

EDIT: Went ahead and ordered the black ones, I think they look the best.

I almost posted in here last night to see if there was an update I'd say it turned out pretty good and I like the black best out of the colors you were deciding between. Glad you like the outcome
