Is this a good price?

I've decided to add another Stang to the stable. I have went and looked at several over the past few weeks and this is the one I think I'm going to purchase. I go back tomorrow for a test drive and to settle on a price.

Almost 20K for a coupe seems overpriced to me. I understand it is full frame off resto, but that is fastback territory. But if it is what you want more power to you. It does look great.

Thats ridiculously overpriced, don't buy it. You could get a decent coupe for under $10,000 fairly easy. Heck a 69-70 sportsroof should run around $15,000 and that price range includes the convertibles and fastbacks of the years before.

I paid $5500 for my coupe 4 years ago and restored it recently. I spent less than $6000 on the restoration. That includes a full V8 swap.

I wouldn't pay over $11,000 for it really.

That right there is your best option. Unless you plan on strictly going to shows and what not a full resto is kind of pointless. It would be much better to get one in DD condition and maybe just fix a little things here and there. Instead of having to worry about driving a fully rebuilt one and putting wear on it depending on how you plan to drive it.

Mine was right at 11K back in 2006. The market is constantly going up and down on classics especially coupes so you shouldn't have a problem finding decent prices now.

That looks like a nice car...

But it need to be everything you want and have no problems.

It should need nothing.

But it is at a price that you can buy a nice Fastback or Convertible.

I really hate doing any type of body work. So far everything I've looked at turned out to be full of rust or bondo. Seems like everyone states no rust knowing your going to crawl all over it when you get there.

I'm looking for something I can drive right away. Don't mind having to do motor work or suspension work to make it better.

Well this is what I ended up with. Got it for just under 8. Motor and transmission rebuilt 1500 miles ago, no rust. Interior all new. Paint is a year old.

Here is the place to order your power disc brakes... Cost $524.00

Here is the Best steering setup for the old Mustangs. Cost $1084.00 Power Steering that Works Great...
Dont use a rack & pinion on the old ones unless the shock towers are removed.
The rack is to close to the steering colum.
