You need to take off that elbow and clean all that crap off both surfaces and put a new gasket on it

Chrome can be hard to seal. I took my chrome one off and put a cast on. Maybe I will try a other chrome one later.

If you have a problem with chrome sealing, lap the sealing surface with fine sandpaper before assembly to remove the chrome from the area intended to be sealed. The chrome does not allow the gasket sealer or the gasket itself to adhere to the surface. It may seal at first, but over time, pressure and heat will push the seal out, or the fluid may push past the seal.
