-One wire Altenator
-HEI distrubutor

Why move the solenoid as well? Most kits will have everything you need to move the battery to the trunk. But moving everything to the back would just involve extending the wires that currently go to the solenoid, also using good gauge wire for the distance.

One Wire Alternator

HEI you just need a 12V source to it, same with the choke. You just need to splice into the wire that has power while the ignition switch is at the on position.

A mini starter should just wire up the same as a stock one if I remember right.

If i get time tomorrow I will take apart my dash and figure out which wire you need for the choke and HEI setup.

I was thinking if I left the solenoid up front, couldn't somebody crank the car with a screwdriver and a power source?

Edit: Don't go to no trouble. I think I know the answer. I was just trying to get a sanity check.

Well they would have to have the distributor hooked up to the power source as well. If they just did the screwdriver method it would turn over, but not start because there would be no spark.

Yes they could just like any other mustang but I hope you aren't moving your battery to the trunk just for security reasons?....There are lots of other easier things you could do to protect your car from theft.

One of the easy thing is running a Electric fuel pump and a kill switch on it.

HEI distibutor is very big and ugly to put on a ford and use a air cleaner.

1 wire alt is very easy. connect the 1 wire to the + of the battary.

Electric choke hook up to any switched power BUT the coil wire.

Mini starter, replace the old starter with a mini and use the same starter wire and make a jumper to the onboard solenoid or remove your old solenoid and use only the one on the mini.

I already have the engine built, so the HEI is there. And I realize its not the popular choice. Got this idea from somebody else. I was thinking I'll run switched power to a relay. The relay sends 12 volt power from the bat to choke, solenoid, and HEI. Maybe a couple spare circuits for future acessories.

I use a relay to run my accessories.

What Air cleaner are you going to use with your HEI ?

I think Morosa makes a drop base that is also offset. Then I will try to put a 14" on it.

You can pick up an offset drop base from summit for under $25, and then put any top on it you want. Of course you have to fab up a z-shaped bolt, but not very difficult. I have a 14" filter using the 1" drop offset base.
