coupe to fastback?

I don't know if this question will piss ppl off or not, but since this is a modded mustang forum...i was wondering, is it possible to change a coupe to a fastback? i really like the fastback design and wanted to kno if i could or not. if i can, what all would need to be done? would it be more than just cutting and welding and strengthening the frame?

Its be done. We had a guy here that had a nice coupe, rusted out fastback, and the know how. He did just that. He made a his coupe a fastback. I would say unless you have those 3 things, I would not do it.

i would do it, if you are going to be building a full race cage in it anyways!

you can cut the roof off to weld everything up, it will be alot easier!

Its been done but with the time and money put into it it would be cheaper and less of a hassel to sell it and buy a fastback

i agree. but why mess up a coupe to make one? just buy a fastback. they are expensive, but its worth it in the long run. till then just keep your coupe lookin hott, like mine. haha.

When you do stuff like that, you destroy any classic/vintage value the car might have. The VIN no longer matches the body style of the car. I could even cause problems when transfering title in the future.
