AMEN! A Ford should be ALL Ford. It pisses me off when these people take a nice old Coupe and add a Chebbie engine. It's a sin fellow Mustang and Ford owners, and should be against the law.

drgnracin72 is right though. The Skyline engine can be pretty badass.
Yeah, but not powerful enough. To actually drift that thing for the movie they threw in a 360 or something big like that.

The skyline/sylvia motor makes stupid horsepower out of an I6 with a simple turbo upgrade, but they still aren't as torque-y as a good, old fashioned, carburated, V8!

Just to be clear, this is the monster Focus with the engine out of my Mustang I was referring to.

haha...not me. A deer ran out in front of me in my Mustang, and I swerved and ended up flipping. A friend bought my engine, and created that thing. I've actually had the car in my possesion the last 6 months because he moved to Houston, but he came and got it last weekend.

He spent a lot on it, but he fabricated most of it. There is a kit you can buy to put a 302 in it, but this is a 351W and he had to modify and fabricate it to make it work. To our knowledge, it's the only one in the world with a 351W. I built the engine and it's bored .040 with a full comp cams roller valvetrain, Vic Jr. heads, fully forged internals, and some other goodies. The car is fun as hell to drive. It actually has very good manors, and it's pretty fast.

The rb26dett is right up there with the 2jz factory motors can make sick power and do it reliably. Upgrade the parts and you have a real monster on your hands

if you do the converstion its almost 300 ft lbs stock, and it only sky rockets from there when you add boost, boost equals crazy amounts of torque

The concept is just gay though taking classic muscle and puttin a forign motor in it and a fart can on the back. Thats just a shame plus drag racing is way better then drift racing to boot.

Each to their own. I say just make the better car. I don't care if you put a ford or a nissan or mack motor in.

Thats just foul. That car is violated in the worst way possible. Id rather see a chevy engine in the car than some rice burning POS. And I hate crossbreeding cars. That just makes me sick.

The RB26DETT is a race bred engine and is far from a piece of shit.

As long as you make the Mustang better. Now if it is a rare car, I would not do anything to it.

Oh! For f#*k sake PLEESE someone put that poor mustang out of her misery. Make her into a cube. Thats the only way to get that rice smell out of her. Its like looking at a lame horse. You don't want to kill her, but you dont want her to live the rest of her life in pain.

But the best thing is that the car in the movie that does all the drifting has a v8 in it because the 6 just wouldn't do what they wanted it to do. I think if i remember right they used a 427 to do the drifting.
