edelbrock intake and a cam and header. A new carb is not going to help much with those.

so i picked the stang up today.... little bit worse shape than the guy led me to believe... needs new suspension... p/s and p/b.... there is alot of play in the steering wheel and the dash is sagging and is ripped... the radiator leaks pretty bad... i found bondo on the car... pissed me off. and some of the paint is cracking... but the very very very good thing is that there is little to almost no rust... any suggestions on a performance susp... and what the hell can i do to stop the play in the steering wheel??

when i first got my stang there was so much play in the wheel you dont even know i could barley stay in 1 lane

what i did to fix it was replace the steering gear box and tighten up the suspension and such (for rattling at high speeds)

sometime an alignment can work wonders. I eyeballed my front suspension when I put the car together, and when I drove it, it scared the piss out of me. It had tons of play, and went all over the place. The toe was so far out it wouldn't read on a n alignment machine. I would spend the $40 on that first, plus they can tell you whats worn out.

There should be a model number somewhere visible on it. What's the brand and model number?

Where are you at? There are Mustang part houses that all they deal with is Mustangs. If you goto the part house down the street, the cost more for alot of the parts.
