I don't use nitrous. I think it will shorten your life of your engine and I don't need it.

Reliability concerns

A piston which was cracked due to nitrous use.As with all 'power adders', the use of nitrous oxide carries with it concerns about the reliability and longevity of an engine. Due to the greatly increased cylinder pressures, the engine as a whole is placed under greater stress, especially the parts involved with the combustion chamber. An engine with components not up to the stress imposed by the use of nitrous can experience major engine damage, such as cracked or destroyed pistons, connecting rods, or crankshafts.

Even if the engine is up to the task, severe damage can occur if a problem occurs in the fuel system; an engine running with nitrous oxide depends heavily on the proper air to fuel ratio to prevent detonation from occurring. For example, and especially so with a 'wet' system, if the engine's fuel supply was to be disrupted or cut off, the combined nitrous oxide and air cause the engine to go to a very lean condition very rapidly, which will often cause knocking or detonation. Depending on the engine, this may only need to occur for a matter of seconds before major damage occurs.

you are right horseshoeing, this is why i run duel blue pumps.i keep them regulated at 6 lbs to insure no fuel failure.the 1 6 i am running has o-ringed head J@E pistons hardend rods and crank .if you start shooting juice to a stock engine ,you are right.it will take a dump.

If I had an I6 car with a motor, I would really look into putting in a Toyota Supra I6 in. They are easyer to get the horses out of.
