I am new to this Forum, but not new to the classic mustang and new mustang community.

I need some help for a friend. He want's to sell his built Toyota 4x4, but got the offer to trade it for a 66 Coupe, he's really worried about the trade and want's to make sure it will bring him the same money as his wheeler will do... here are some specs of the coupe:

Exterior: All the sheet metal on the car has been redone there is NO rust anywhere on the vehicle including the frame floor pans etc. Every pannel is strait and all the fit is perfect. The car was repainted Vintage Burgandy (dark red) 1 year ago the paint is not show quality but looks good. the front right fender has a rub mark it might be able to be buffed out. when the engine was replaced the engine bay was shot with gloss black. all glass is intact and in great shape (all original) all the trim is there most is new everything looks great.

Interior: original red interior its all there and looks good but seats and door pannels will need to be replaced to match the quality of the car. The car has a new grant steering wheel all the gauges have been replaced with auto meter gauges. The gauges were custom mounted in the original gauge pod and look factory.

Engine: heres the fun part the original engine was replaced with a freshly rebuilt 88 302 the engine was assembled and ran outside the vehicle. The engine was broken in and ran on the dyno and has 0 miles in the vehicle. the cylinders were bored .030 over the crank was turned .010 under on the main and rod journals. it has a ford motorsports b303 roller cam, roller lifters and crane roller tip rockers. the heads have all new crane cams valves and new seats with a 3angle valve job. it also has new crane cams valve springs on it and the heads have been ported. the rods were re-worked and new arp bolts were installed on the rods and also the heads. fel-pro gaskets were used to insure no leakes.it has a new high performance balancer and new true roller timing chain set. it has trw forged lw pistons. the long block alone has over $4000.00 in it to complete the engine a jr victor intake manifold was used topped off with a new demon carb. all electronics are msd including 6al box distributer coil plug wires all msd. bosch platnum 4 plugs etc all new. new alternator, new starter, new afco 4 core aluminum racing radiator with elec fan, new tall ford racing valve covers to clear the roller rockers, new hooker headers, new pullys, basically everything was replaced in the engine bay and is all 100%new with 0 miles.
Its a 66 mustang so you know what that means No emissions ever needed

Transmission: the transmission is a built c4 automatic. the transmission was built by tsi comp transmissions. the trans is fully built with all the right stuff redline Kevlar clutches in the direct drum, Kevlar band, billet servo and cover, manual valve body reverse shift pattern, deep finned alum pan, the works. the trans is brand new 0 miles it has a new torque converter, block off plate flexplate etc. the trans is an auto but can be shifted into any gear anytime and can handle up to 600 hp

Drivetrain: ford 8.8 with new gears i cant remember the ratio rear drum brakes that have been replaced. front brakes were also rebuilt. fuel is delivered from a fuel cell cleanly mounted in the trunk holly blue fuel pump gets it there fuel then goes to fuel pressure reg then splits one to the gauge with isolator and one line to carb steel braided line from end to end with an fittings. wheels and tires are stock 14 inch with rare original spinner hub caps.

This is comming from the man who has the coupe... i'll try and get some pics posted....

If your friend wants to turn a quick profit, it's not a good trade.
The coupe needs interior work. As is it's maybe worth $15-20,000.

The coupe aint worth 15 to 20K. Lets remember its a coupe, not a FB or conv. Its very nice, but wont bring that kind of cash for many years. The value is basically upside down. More $ in drivetrain than what its worth. Probably max is 10K on price, but theres a sucker born every minute.

He want's to trade the Toyota for a 66 Coupe... So seriously, ya'll think that it won't turn a lot of cash, cause that's what he want's.. The toyota is an 89 and it's got about 60K into it right now... but he's only selling it for 17,500.. there is not a dang thing wring with it, he is just building another project and needs the cash....

So after than, what do ya'll think???
