Stroking a 351w
Got a question for you all... My friend said that he wants my 351w block to rebuild once a drop my 347 into my car sometime this next winter / spring...
He wants to bore it out to a 408 and stroke it. The only thing is the engine I have is out of a 76 LTD. Is this a block worth building up or should I tell him to find another block out of of more of a sports car. ( See I'm not sure if all the 351 blocks are the same and ect. ) So the question is I guess what make, model, and year should he be looking for or does it matter?

It should be fine. The 69 and 70 blocks had a higher nickel content which made them stronger, but other than that most blocks are the same.
