holley carb

i am trying to install a holley 570 cfm 4bbl street avenger carb on my 1965 coupe equiped with a 289. the electric choke requires 12 volts. i know these cars originally came with a choke that opened from the heat the exhaust manifold made. but i also know that there has to be a way to get 12 volts other than the battery. also many other mods require 12 volts such as an msd ignition box. so if anybody has any knowledge on this issue any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Wire to coil is usually about 9Vdc. I believe For uses resistance wire for the coil. You need to add a 12Vdc wire from the fuse box to the choke that is switched on & off with key in run position. You will also have this problem if you go to aftermarket coil & ignitions (like MSD)

Alright I've found a switched 12 volt fuse. If I hooked up an ignition box from MSD would that blow the fuse or would it still function fine?
