Backup switch


I have a 67 mustang that the back up lights don't work I have checked the bulbs and as much of the wiring that I can. I'm thinking that the switch is bad but I 'm not sure where it is located and how to remove it.

it is a auto with the i6 if it makes a difference

backup switch should be on trans.

I looked but I really could not trace the wire down to it...

If its an auto wouldnt it be internal? I have a 3spd and mine is mounted to the trans and when you click it into reverse the stick hits the plunger and there you go

backup switch should be on shift shaft comeing out of trans.

thanks I'll check it monday. I got to put a new gasket on the tranny and change the filter I'll look then.
