tear down?


my son and i are going to tear my i6 down to see if there is any damage from the nitrous use.been 6 years and i want to fresh the block anyway.the fact is i cant stand it ,and i want to see.get back after tear down.

i took pics,but showing you pics of stuff that looks new is a waist of your time and mine.it was a lot of money blown for overhaul that was not needed.

no. the tear down is not a failure.i wanted to see if the nitrous was hurting it.so far,not even a cracked ring.

i took my block to Performance Counts and had the cylinders checked.they told me to put it back together.they did advise me not to use gapless rings.

after 6 years of shooting the juice and guts out running,and after honeing for the new rings worst cylinder was 1 1/2 thousands out.i dont see where the juice has hurt it at all.

Stock 289 4v are not all that fast and I never did like the 350 as a hotrod motor. How do you do with the 5.0s and the 4.6s?
