HEY WHAT DO U GUYS THINK THAT WOULD HELP GET MORE POWER I HAVE A 1967 MUSTANG COUPE WITH A 289 HIGH PERFORMANCE ENGINE IT HAS GOOD TOP SPEED BUT I WANT IT TO SMOKE THE TIRES ANY SUGGESTIONS

Rev your motor up to about 6k and slam it into drive (not really). 289s are not a lowend powerhouse. They get their power with RPMs. My 289 starts to get its power at 3k.How is your 289 setup? Do you have an auto?
