open rear end


i have an open rear end on my 68 and it really sucks. is there anyway i could make it limited slip without changing the whole rear end?

460 asked a great question

but either one you can change the 3rd member only but envolves pulling the axles out to pull the 3rd member then you need to get another 3rd member with gears and a trac lok or whatever and put it in.

if it is 8 call 800 347 1188 ext 5560 mika.ask forlock right #1810-lr.it locks on straight way and slips on turns.

i actually dont know what size the rear end is. its a 68 coupe with a 302 j code and a C4. the thing 460 was talking about, is that good for everyday driving?

the lock right is good for every day driving or for the track.i have been running mine for three years,on and off track.

there are no clutches to burn out .it is about as blowproof as you can get.call the number i gave you ext5560 and ask for mica.the cost is less than three.

im pretty sure i have an 8" rear end with 28 spline axles. its a 68 coupe 302 j code with a c4, and it has the stock rear end. am i right?

theodoor... the lockright is a good choice but maybe 460 should explain some of the noises that also come from having a racheting style locker.

with this lock right you dont have a lot of noise.it isnt built like a normal lock.you can barely hear it click on corners.
