Classic Stang'
Hey all,
I came across this board while sitting in study hall today, I'm a new driver, and been looking around for a classic mustang for some time now. Most likely 65-69 I'm not looking to push past 3 thousand dollars or so, think I'd have any luck? I'm certainly not looking for a mint, trophy car, but something that'll get me from point A to B... thanks in advance Cameron |

yea, for that little money you can certainly get a classic mustang, but it'll (likely) require some work.
Try looking at craigslist as well. That's where i got mine.

You'd have a very hard time finding a fastback under 3K. I saw one the other day that was a rusted out shell with no drivetrain, and very little interior advertised as a "parts car" for 3K.

Thanks for all the input fellas, I think I'm going to be a regular here from now on...I still haven't seen the links, the computer went down before I got home yesterday, go figure eh?
There's a 66', 289, 4 speed (I believe) for sale down the road from me. It could use a little body work, some sanding here and there, and maybe a new roof interior, the engine, trani, and brakes are all new, so it's certainly not original..It even needs some new chrome. My opinion being, let me buy the thing, I'll fix it up, and take care of it, Verses some YO YO who has the money, buying and wrecking the car in a month..becuase we all know how some guys are. Its been for sale, 7 and a half months, and the guy wont come down past 8 thousand...kind of stiff if you ask me..He thinks its some sort of trophy car How much are the ones on ebay, location, and all that, thanks guys btw, I'm cameron, 16 years old, and down in connecticut I like long walks on the beach, the oce...I mean..uh hi |

Hey Good luck I got my 70 when I was 16 had it 4 years now one of the most awsome things I have ever done in life. Don't get stuck in the 60's 1970 was a good year too. HAHA
Take a look at it I bought it for $8000 and have put about $2000 in it over the last 4 years
