hello all im usually on the 99-04 forums as that is what I own but a lady I work with says she has a mint condition 1979 mustang GT in her garage. she said she wants an aftermarket exhaust, but isnt sure where to find one. i guess the problem is. she says the exhaust goes from her headers into 1 pipe that goes cat then muffler.. then it goes back to two pipes again. is there any way for her to get 2 seperate pipes or incorporate a mid pipe of some sort in there? will she have to have a custom set of pipes made? again im from the 99-04 forums and know nothing of these classic cars, so i may sound like an idiot right now. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you

I think the 78 was the last year for the Mustang II. I would have her take it to a muffer shop and have them put a dual set up on it.

check your state laws'in some states you cannot alter the exhaust untii you get past the converters.va is one.
