those older cars are worth alot fixed up, u could get $50,000 for it if it runs good, low miles and is in good condition

Most Mustangs in A-1 shape don't get that kind of money. What makes your dads car worth 50k?

I bought my 67 coupe for 800 bucks and have spent more on the little things that you would not even think about in a restoration, than I will to have the motor rebuilt. There was absolutely no interior in my car. That little stuff like ignition switch, door locks, window cranks and door handles will empty your wallet quick.Have you priced a gas cap lately? how about the flip open ones?

Is your car a V6 or is it a I6?

its very easy I put $5000 in my 73 in just the motor, I'm afraid to see what it'll cost me for a blower for it, but the 351 just isn't putting out enough hp for me, I want it to scream.

I don't know how much your dads car is worth, but from what you are telling us I don't see it. Its not stock. Most of the time a stock car is worth more if it is in A-1 shape. Check out 516,1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback H: $33,000.
This car is in excellent original condition. Point is I just don't see a non-stock Mustang going for $50,000. I am sure you dads car is very nice, but not $50,000 nice.

Yeah. To get mine running right again would cost about $4,000~. To get it running with a good body would prolly get it up to about $10,000. To do everything I want to it, $45,000~ and my GF already knows I'm doing it.

The compromise was, she loves the 93 Thunderbird. It was her second car and she had it for years till the (rare, 4 wheel disc with ABS, V6) ABS took a shit on her. I told her once we get situated and have a place with a garage, I will hunt down a 93 T-Bird and, no matter the condition, build it up for her. Fully tuned V8, 5 speed trans, the works.
