Need Some Help Finding


does anyone have or know were i can get a rear axle housing for a 1968 mustang......thanks

im looking for a 8.8 or 9...what happen was on the rear i have is who ever had the car before me welded the back plate back on and didnt put the bolts back so there is now way it get inside the rear axle..thats way i need and new rear axle...thanks

Where are you?
The 8" and 9" both bolt on in the front of the housing the back should be welded

ok thats fine if they are like but then how are u suppost to get the whole thrid member out with the axle running though it....the thrid member doesnt just lift out it is held by sumthing and i dont no how to get it out...or how do u just get the axles out of the axle housing......

With the tires and drums off there are 4 nuts on each side that hold the backing plats on. with the 4 nuts removed you can pull the axles out unbolt the center and pull it out.

oh really i didnt think thats what was holding on the axles i just was thinking that held on the drumbrakes and not the axles....thanks so much for ur help...
